This patient was unhappy with the texture of her skin. She felt that she had lines all over her face, as well as large pores which made her look like her skin was thick and aged. She was ready for a big transformation, but did not want to have a surgical procedure. Dr. Collins used her Sciton tunable resurfacing laser to completely change the texture of this patient’s skin. This Erbium laser is the only one in it’s class that is able to be “tuned” to any depth giving Dr. Collins the ability to treat deeper and more aggressively where needed, and less aggressively in more sensitive areas. This patient had a deep laser peel. The down time is a bit more for this treatment, but the results are miraculous. Her skin looks years younger. If you wanted to have less down time, Dr. Collins can use the same laser, but set the depth to be less aggressive. You healing time would be shorter and each time you do a treatment, the effects are cumulative. You could therefore build up to this result with multiple treatments and less down time.
