This beautiful lady came to Dr. Collins because cause she wanted a subtle increase in the size of her breasts. She was an active professional lady who did not want to look artificial. Dr. Collins performed a breast augmentation with a 325cc smooth round moderate plus profile gel implant in the dual plane position. This means that the pectorals muscle is lifted and partially divided from the sternum so that it can reflect upward and cover the upper portion of the breast implant. This allows and extra layer of tissue to cover the edge of the implant and minimize the risk of seeing the edge or rippling along the upper pole of the breast. The lower pole of the implant is sitting under the breast tissue which allows the implant to settle in to the lower pocket and “drop” into the breast to fill in the lower pole and prevent “high riding” implants.
