This 32 year old lady had some volume to her breasts, but “just not enough”. She wanted to have a subtle increase in the volume of her breasts using silicone gel implants. Because she had enough breast tissue to hide the edge of the implant, a sub glandular (above the muscle) plane was a good choice for her. She also wanted to avoid scars un the under surface of her breast, so a small incision in the lower part of her areola was used for placement. This scar becomes hidden in the pigmented areola leaving the final result almost scarless. This incision requires that the areola is large enough so it can not be used in every case.
