Case Details
This young lady had small breasts that were slightly sagging after breast feeding her two children. She wanted a modest augmentation and we decided to use the volume of the implant to fill the tissue envelope. This is best done with a sub glandular (above the muscle) placement of the device. For these patients, a pocket is created under the breast to accommodate the breast implant. The incision in this case was made under the breast. These patients enjoy a relatively easy recovery since we have not cut muscle so there is less trauma to the tissues. There is also almost no risk of “animation deformity” with this approach to augmentation.
