When a woman’s breasts become deflated either due to weight loss or the post pregnancy state, and the nipples point to the floor; the best way to restore their youthful beauty is to place an implant in as a “form” and then rearrange the tissue around that form so that the nipple is in the correct location at the pinnacle of the breast mound. This is a mastopexy/augment procedure. Just lifting the breast alone will leave it flat with the nipple in better position, but it would lack a roundness. Just adding an implant would give it a rounded appearance, but the nipple would hang off the implant and would not achieve the goal of the “beautiful normal” in breast aesthetics. By combining the procedures, we achieve both goals as we have here.
