Case Details
The lower lid and cheek are a cosmetic subunit. This means that sometimes, in order to get optimal results, you have to treat both. In this, the lower lid had excess skin and fat herniation that needed to be addressed with a lower lid blepharoplasty. At the same time, this patient had a loss of fat in her “malaria” region, or cheek. To blend the lid with the cheek, the addition of fat grafts to the cheeks while doing the lower lid surgery gave this subtle and natural looking improvement and an overall lovely correction.
