Deep Plane Facelift and Neck Contouring at Two Weeks
This patient came to Dr. Beth Collins at The Collins Center concerned about loose facial skin, neck fullness, and a “turkey neck.” She felt that these changes gave her an older, tired appearance and wanted to address both her face and neck.
Dr. Collins performed an extended preservation deep plane facelift with an endoscopic brow lift and facial fat grafting. The facelift addressed facial sagging, while the brow lift and fat grafting addressed brow position and facial volume.
Deep neck contouring included submandibular gland reduction, digastric muscle reduction, and a midline platysmaplasty. A hyoid fasciotomy helped elevate the hyoid bone and further define the angle beneath the chin.
These facelift before-and-after photographs were taken just two weeks after surgery. Her incisions were healing well, but swelling and tissue settling were still part of her recovery. These are early postoperative photographs, not her final result. We will update this case as additional healing occurs and new photographs become available.
