    Case Details

Gynecomastia is exceedingly common, affecting up to 30% of men. It is usually a combination of excess fat and breast tissue. The treatment involves a combination of liposuction of the chest wall followed by direct excision of breast tissue. As long as there is not a large abundance of excess skin, these procedures can be performed through tiny incisions that eventually become invisible. Dr. Collins aims to get all of these men, young and old, out on the beach without a shirt on!! This surgery can be life changing for men. It is particularly so for young boys who are plagued with this situation. We have seen boys come in shy and so embarrassed to remove their shirts in the office who return in the post op period with a new found confidence. While we don’t advocate sun bathing…it is always great to see tan lines in these kids %ED%A0%BD
