This lovely patient is another example of someone who’s facial aging is mostly, if not exclusively a result of volume loss. She also has strong muscles in her perched and peri orbital regions. A liquid facelift consisting of volume replacement with a combination of hyaluronic acid filler (such as Juvederm and Restylane) was performed along with muscle relaxation using botox to her forehead and crows feet. The cumulative effect was to relax the muscles in her forehead leading to smoother skin and brow elevation. Replacing the volume through her cheeks and nasolabial folds also gives her a more youthful and balanced appearance that will endure for up to one to two years. If she comes back periodically to do touch ups, this effect can last even longer.
